I learnt a LOT of NEW stuff from making this website. From validation to adding ALT onto IMG tags to 5up3r 1337 PHP (I borrowed a PHP book a week ago and I'm starting to read it. It's excellent! I'm hoping to get PHP down in the month and start C++ ASAP so I'll be actually useful next year).
In celebration of finishing our robot a week before the shipping date, we hadfake Chinese food. I ate aloooot. A LOOOOOOOOOT. Yummmm and mmmm chicken balls. There was a lot of balls talked about in the workshop actually (either with the food, the robot, or ... actual balls). Lols all around the workshop!!!!
time to study French and sleep.

Feb. 10th, 2009 09:01 pmSCARED TO DEATH HELLO? I have 5 more pages to be written up and a gallery to make. I think two days is plenty time, but I can't waste any time and what what i'm so nervous!! It's my first time making (and SHARING + SUBMITTING) an ENTIRE website!!!! I'm afraid that the content I churned up won't be good enough! I.... ;o;
But good news- our robot works! We still need wireless added to our robot, but that's ok. The shipping day is exactly a week away, but apparently this is the fastest that our robot has been finished. I'm so happy. (':

Man, validating HTML sucks. LJ's got me in a terrible habit of screwing up my IMG tags. Deadline is like, THURSDAY and I'm waiting for a write up. I'm kinda scared that I might not get it done by the deadline or I have registration/submission issues if I submit too close to the deadline.

Anyway, I've finished the robotic's teams website (or the design part anyway). It's.. looking really plain. Designing the site as well as the CSS is painful. I also learned some PHP along the way. Super niceeee.
You guys are all mostly graphical dudes right!? Critique and comments svp?? I'm not liking the banner, but whatevs. I'm weak on graphics blahblahblah.
Course selections is due tomorrow. I'm so afraid of my future blaaaah. I'm choosing English, Math, French, Art History (so I can go on the Europe trip mostly), Physics, Chemistry, Accounting (Hey, is this even a good idea), and Computer Sciences. I'll just hope that it's enough to make paths for my future. Blah, cry cry crying more. I want go into something that makes lots of money, but is also fun...
I'm debating on where or not I should stay for a fifth year and apply for a Co-Op at the nearby nuclear power plant. Dad said that the people who work there have a risk of dying from super radiation, but the power plant does pay well.. very well (I mean, they supply 20% of ON's power). Then again, I don't wanna stay in ON.Take me to Europe!!

Jan. 26th, 2009 09:57 pmSo uh, everything seems to be back to normal.. Or as normal as it can get. Whatevs. They still aren't talking to each other. They can still stand each other though, or i think anyway.
Funny stuff. At lunch today, i asked a friend to play chess with me. I pwned of course, but the game took 30 mins... And i forgot that i left my food in the microwave. ( everyone uses one microwave, everyone just jams their food in their and the microwave is constantly in use) i burnt my food!!
Lol, i had veggies meat and rice, but after the microwave destroyed it, everything hardened into one dry burnt thing. I'm surprised that my lunch box didn't die lol.
That was funny, but i totally lost my lunch.
